Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA) paid an official visit to our farm at Lembang on 20 October 2009. It has been around 3 years since we built engagement with Singapore in agriculture business and that time was very much valuable event for us to strengthen our business with Singapore business players.
AVA is a Singapore government institution which has very important roles to (as stated in its mission) ensure a resilient supply of safe food, safeguard the health of animals and plants and facilitate agri-trade for Singapore.
The AVA visit to our farm is important momentum for us since it constitutes a formal recognition to our existence and ability as one of important players in agriculture business, especially as exporter to serve market demand in Singapore. We would expect the existing cooperation with Singapore is able to be continued and even upgraded as Singapore markets are very huge which currently only small parts that we, Indonesian exporters contribute.
We had an opportunity to display our progress in building the business as well as our readiness to move forward, to contribute to the Indonesia economy particularly in agribusiness sector.
We were pleased, too, to guide the AVA officials for farm tour during the visit to show our capsicum farm and the way we manage it.
